In the current environment and with debtors typically carrying multiple debts, increased focus is being placed on face-to-face contact with the debtor to escalate the significance of the debt, better understand the debtor's circumstances and provide a more pro-active approach to reaching a payment arrangement. Similarly time is of the essence and direct contact with a debtor through a field agent call could be critical to the successful recovery of the debt.
Everyday Debt Management has a nationwide panel of experienced external collection agents for this purpose and their services can be taken on a standalone basis outside our normal full outsource solution.
The field agent will establish a debtor's whereabouts and provide up-to-date information about their circumstances and of any assets attaching to the debt. In doing so the field agent is best placed to judge the appropriate approach and, following the client's instructions, establish a realistic payment arrangement suitable to both the debtor and the client.
